Instagram Personal Account Changes

Starting December 4, 2024, Instagram will only support Business and Creator accounts publishing from tools like CoSchedule. While this decision was made by Instagram, we want to ensure you're prepared for this transition.

What's Changing?

On December 4, 2024, Instagram will no longer support CoSchedule's ability to:
  1. Connect a personal Instagram profile
  2. Publish from a personal Instagram profile
  3. Effective immediately, customers will be unable to connect a new personal Instagram profile or reconnect an existing Instagram profile through CoSchedule's re-authentication process
Important Note: This means that only Business and Creator accounts will be able to connect with third-party applications like CoSchedule. If you have an Instagram profile that is set up as a Business or Creator account, this change will not impact you.

How Does This Affect You?

  • If you currently have a personal Instagram profile connected to CoSchedule, it will continue to function normally until December 4, 2024. Note: If it loses a connection to CoSchedule prior to December 4, 2024, it will not be able to be re-connected and will need to be converted to a business or creator account
  • By December 4, 2024, you will need to convert your personal profile to either a Business or Creator account to maintain connectivity with CoSchedule.
  • New accounts being connected to CoSchedule must be Business or Creator profiles
