Scrum:

A project management framework used to solve problems, emphasize accountability, and create an agile marketing organization.

Alphabet Soup

Scrum allows marketers to openly work towards a well-defined goal. The framework starts with a simple question: What work can already be seen or known? From there, evaluate what is and what is not working. Then, begin tracking the project’s progress.

Tech Target provides a graphic to show the three pillars, or goals, of Scrum:

  • Adaptation – The team continuously reviews and revises its approach to problems
  • Inspection – The team reflects and evaluates its work performance on a daily basis
  • Transparency – The team works in an open environment, sharing progress and road blocks
