Unsubscribe Rate:

Unsubscribe rate is a measure indicating the percentage of users who have opted-out of a mailing list in an email marketing campaign. Unsubscribes result in a self-cleaning of your mailing list as uninterested prospects stop communication, but a high unsubscribe rate (generally > 0.5%) indicates issues with your email marketing strategy.

Unsubscribe rate is measured by unsubscribers divided by successful email deliveries times 100 (# unsubscribed / successful deliveries X 100 = unsubscribe rate). This metric, along with others like open rate and click-through rate, enables you to understand how prospects are interacting with your email marketing and inform adjustments to your strategy.
