Flash mob marketing uses spontaneity to surprise and attract the attention of unsuspecting bystanders. This take place in order to raise awareness for a brand or event.

Flash mob marketing works because it:

  • Attracts media attention
  • Brings the element of surprise
  • Has virality potential
  • Introduces you to a new audience

One notable example of flash mob marketing is T-Mobile’s Liverpool flash mob dance. They did this to promote their brand and create a stronger presence in that area.
